Children

Please note that children under the age of 18 years are not permitted in the education sessions or the Exposition (to include the Opening Reception in the Exposition). This includes children in strollers and carriers.

Friends in Pharmacy

APhA2024 will be partnering to donate to Zebra Youth. Zebra Youth assists young people ages 13-24 facing homelessness, bullying, isolation from their families, and physical, sexual, and substance abuse with individualized programs to guide them to recovery and stability. The goal of programming is to provide each youth with the tools necessary to become a healthy, productive, and self-sufficient individual. We are especially sensitive to the needs of Black, Hispanic, and Latinx LGBTQ+ youth. Donation bins will be available at the meeting for cash donations. OR use the following QR codes to donate or help clear their Amazon wish list.

Moment of reflection

Award dinners, general sessions, and certain other events may begin with a moment of reflection. As members of a healing profession, each of us has a lot to be thankful for. We would like to give you an opportunity to reflect or express your thanks in your own personal way by pausing for a moment of silence and reflection.

Nursing/wellness rooms

The Orange County Convention Center has wellness rooms in the west, north and south concourses. The wellness rooms provide a private space for nursing parents to pump or breastfeed.

The wellness rooms are located in the following places:

• West Concourse: Level II, West Hall C Lobby, to the right of the Citrus Café (Food Court C)
• North Concourse: Level II, North Hall A, at the top of the escalator to the exhibit hall, adjacent to room N210E
• South Concourse: Level II, South Hall A, at the top of the escalator to the exhibit hall, adjacent to room S210E

Complimentary Internet is offered free of charge and is available in all public spaces and meeting rooms. Complimentary Wi-Fi should not be used for mission-critical tasks.

International travel

The U.S. Department of State is the official United States visa information source, with information about visa requirements, U.S. embassy and consulate locations worldwide, and wait times for visa interview appointments/processing. Travelers are advised to apply for visas well in advance of intended travel dates. Although APhA may not provide official travel endorsement, a letter of invitation is available. Any person who attends an APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition event grants permission to APhA, its employees, and its agents (collectively “APhA”) to record their visual/audio images, including but not limited to photographs, digital images, voices, sound or video recordings, audio clips, or accompanying written descriptions, and, without notifying such person, to use their name and such images for any purpose of APhA, including advertisements for APhA and its programs.

Portions of APhA2024 may be recorded for webcasting and other marketing/education purposes. Unauthorized audiotaping and videotaping is prohibited.
