Emcee Nimit Jindal will again lead the Second General Session and continue highlighting the Rise! Theme. You will her stories about how your colleagues helped patients overcome adversity to improve their health. Then incoming APhA President, Valerie Price, will provide her vision of what is coming up in the next year at APhA and in the pharmacy profession. APhA Academy Presidents, Wendy Mobley-Bukstein and Spencer Harpe, will recognize winners of the Daniel B. Smith Practice Excellence Award and Ebert Prize, and the new group of APhA Fellows will be recognized.
Keynote Address – Small Things. Big Impact. A distinguished panel of front line pharmacists - Michael Hogue, Jacinda Abdul-Mutakabbir, Lydia Bailey, and Danielle James – who will share their experiences helping patients overcome adversity. Pharmacists have a unique opportunity to step in when patients face adversity and misfortune, and an intervention that may seem small may be just enough to help a patient rise, and maybe even save their life. You’ll walk away with tools and resources to incorporate in your day to day to help your patients and earn 1.0 hour of CPE credit.
