Well-Being in Your Words: An Open Forum Discussion of Workplace Situations from the 2021 National Workplace Survey

The 2021 APhA/NASPA National Pharmacy Workplace Survey responses to open-ended questions included powerful verbatims that provided insights into the issues that respondents believed contributed to their workplace conditions. The responses ranged from despair to dehumanization to loss of practice control to moral distress to practice successes and joy. Moderated by Nancy Alvarez and a reaction panel (Pharmacists Kaitlyn Skulkan from community practice, Noelle Chapman from health-system practice, and Cynthia Knapp Dlugosz, a wellness coach, and Pharmacy Technician Melinda Browning), will explore selected verbatim responses and themes including how they would handle the situation and possible solutions. Attendees will have time for small group discussions to explore what they would do in the situation.
