With a program that is designed to educate and inspire, and many opportunities to connect with influential leaders and colleagues, this opening session will kick off the meeting theme, “Rise! Advancing in the Face of Adversity.”
We are pleased to welcome back emcee Nimit Jindal to lead the group on a journey to address challenges and offer solutions to positively shape the future of pharmacy together.
You will hear stories from your colleagues about how they overcame adversity in their pharmacy practice. Then you will be greeted by Interim CEO, Ilisa Bernstein and hear an APhA update from President Theresa Tolle. You will meet the APhA Board of Trustees and the candidates for the next president-elect. And the Honorary President and Honorary Members will be recognized.
Keynote Address - Rediscovering Why: Insights Into Overcoming Adversity You will not want to miss our APhA2023 opening keynote speaker, Inky Johnson, who is a shining example of someone who has fought through adversity to rise to the top. As a rising college football star in his junior year, Inky sustained a life-threatening, career-ending injury. From that day on, he has had a burning desire to use his situation and experiences to add value to people’s lives.
