Cannabis use and sale within the United States has been an emerging topic in recent years. As of February 2022, 37 states, 3 territories, and the District of Columbia have allowed the use of medical cannabis nationwide. Currently, 19 states, 2 territories, and the District of Columbia have regulated Full Use (adult/non-medical use) cannabis. As cannabis use continues to grow this session will review the current cannabis law at the federal and state level and the general requirements on cannabis licensing seen throughout the country.
