Biography
Dr. Danielle A. James earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Chicago State University College of Pharmacy May 2018 and her Bachelor of Science from Howard University May 2010. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Dr. James is currently a Pharmacy Manager for the Chicago Southwest Area of Walgreens. As a Walgreens Pharmacist, Dr. James has submerged herself in the business of providing comprehensive healthcare services to her community. Her work is concentrated explicitly in one of Chicago’s urban communities with high diabetic, cardiovascular diseases, and HIV/AIDS populations. To better serve her community, she earned additional certifications as a Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Pharmacist and Immunizing Pharmacist. During the Pandemic crisis, Dr. James served as a lead for the Walgreens Health Equity Initiative which was created in response to current social movement. This is an initiative to address health disparities in the underserved communities. She has helped provide Covid Vaccine sites on the Southside and Westside of Chicago, assisted with Walgreens new patient portal, and served numerous COVID vaccine Health Equity clinics in Chicagoland, vaccinating over 50,000 people in the highest-risk population.
