What Have We Learned About Pharmacist Well-being and Resiliency: An Overview of the Pharmacist Well-being Index and Other Surveys

Description

In July 2019, APhA along with AACP, ACPE, NABP, and NASPA held the Well-being and Resilience of the Pharmacists Workforce national consensus conference that yielded 50 recommendations. One set of recommendations focused the need for research on well-being of pharmacy personnel. Last summer, APhA launched the Pharmacist Well-being Index (WBI), an anonymous validated screening tool developed by the Mayo Clinic to longitudinally evaluate distress. More than 5,000 pharmacists, student pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians have assessed their distress levels. Join noted pharmacists           workforce researchers in a discussion on early findings and trends from the anonymous aggregate data WBI and how they relate to other well-being surveys.
