USP Chapter <800>: Steps Toward Compounding Compliance

Description

Since the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Chapter <800> became official in December 2019, pharmacists have ensured compliance with standards for handling hazardous drugs—from receipt through waste disposal. This includes considering both personnel and design strategies for their compounding space, given that Chapter <800> prohibits pharmacists from storing or compounding hazardous drugs in an area with positive pressure related to surroundings. What’s the purpose of this stringent requirement—and how does it protect pharmacist staff? Get answers to these questions and more at this session.
