Glucometers only tell part of the story—giving mere snapshots of a person’s blood glucose profile at isolated times during the day. Enter the continuous glucose monitor (CGM)—game-changing tech that takes measurements approximately every 1 to 5 minutes.


Pharmacist Learning Objectives

At the completion of this knowledge-based activity, participants will be able to: 

  1. Discuss the essential terminology related to CGM technology. 
  2. List the most useful digital self-management tools currently available for CGM. 
  3. Explain the role a pharmacist can play in enhancing diabetes care using these tools.
  4. Assess and interpret a patient’s CGM report.
