Dietary Supplements: Helping Patients Make the Right Choice

Description

As dietary supplements gain popularity—and trends change rapidly—it can be difficult to know what’s appropriate for each patient. But as the most accessible health care providers in communities, pharmacists can educate patients about the safety and efficacy of dietary supplements and screen for potential drug interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic duplication. This session covers important items to discuss—and what to consider—when recommending dietary supplements for patients.
