APhA-APRS ESAS Keynote: Insights from a Pharmacy-Led Mental Health First Aid Initiative

Description

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a gatekeeper training program designed to help community members and non-mental health professionals identify those who may be experiencing a mental health crisis and make appropriate referrals. Recently, MHFA has been targeted as a new public health role for the pharmacy profession. This fascinating keynote details what happened when the Iowa Pharmacy Association and other collaborators disseminated MHFA through local programs. Don’t miss the enlightening lessons learned and strategies uncovered that will guide future initiatives.
