Specialty Pharmacy: Optimizing Value for Better Outcomes

Although specialty medications offer the promise of better outcomes or potential cures, many treatments are costly and require utilization management programs. Payers must implement solid clinical and administrative strategies to ensure patients have access to affordable specialty medications. It’s up to pharmacy providers to ensure that payers’ and patients’ investments result in the best possible clinical and economic outcomes.
