Optimize Layered Learning, Improve Your Practice

Description

Practice-based learning sites offer education and training experience to a wide variety of learners from introductory pharmacy experience to second year postgraduate pharmacy residencies with learners that have a diverse range of pharmacy backgrounds and experiences. Preceptors need to know how to adapt, plan and implement strategies to effectively educate and train each level of learner and create structured, preplanned learning experiences with appropriate, preplanned learning activities at the appropriate cognitive level. This session will provide preceptors with strategies for creating appropriate learning activities for each level of learning and based upon each learner’s level, past experiences and abilities in order to facilitate effective practice-based education and training.
