Continuous Glucose Monitoring: Opportunities for Pharmacists in Diabetes Management

Description

Self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) is a core component of a diabetic patient's management but only provides a measurement of blood glucose levels at a specific point in time, often missing trends, hyperglycemic or hypoglycemic excursions. Real-time CGM is one cornerstone of optimal glycemic control. This program led by experts in the management of diabetes and the use of CGM. focuses on these knowledge gaps and will enable healthcare professionals to provide improved patient care.

Speakers: Stephanie Redmond, PharmD, Ridgeview Chaska, Westonka and Specialty Clinics, Leslie Pinkerton, PharmD, Walgreens, Erin Shaal, PharmD, Albertsons
