General Information

APhA2022 is scheduled as an in-person event taking place March 18 - 21, 2022, in San Antonio, TX. Limited virtual offerings will be available for those not able to attend in-person.

All scheduled events and activities will be available for in-person attendees (except where a ticket may be required). Offerings for virtual attendees will include select educational components, the opening and second general sessions, access to exhibitors, and other events.  Please note that most virtual offerings will be available only during in-person scheduled events. There is currently no plan for an enduring virtual experience.

The cost to attend includes the in-person and virtual components. A full schedule of events, including virtual offerings, is listed on the website.

NEW! Vaccination Status and Masks

Proof of vaccination will be required to attend APhA in person onsite in San Antonio.  Masks must be worn. Instructions on how to upload your vaccination status will be sent to all attendees prior to arriving in San Antonio, Texas.  The CDC currently states that in general, people are considered fully vaccinated:

2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine
Complete details on showing proof of vaccine will be sent to registrants as we get closer to the meeting date.

COVID-19 Protocols

APhA is cautiously returning to live meetings and events. This plan is subject to certain public health and safety rules and guidelines and keeping public and staff health and safety a priority.  Current policies agreed to at time of registration can be found HERE.

Protocols will be updated as required and registrants will be notified.

Arrangements for Persons with Disabilities

Scooters and wheelchairs are available for rental. Reserve your equipment in advance to ensure your needs can be accommodated. If you have a disability for which you may require an auxiliary aid or special service, contact tmcdonald@aphanet.org by Thursday, February 17.

Attire

Business casual attire is appropriate for sessions and events. You may wish to bring a sweater or light jacket to sessions. Check the weather forecast prior to packing as you may require a jacket and umbrella. San Antonio average March temperatures are 75º daytime and 51º evening.  

Children

Please note that children under the age of 18 are not permitted in the education sessions or the Exposition (to include the Opening Reception in the Exposition). This includes children in strollers and carriers.

Photography

Any person who attends an APhA Annual Meeting event grants permission to APhA, its employees and agents (collectively “APhA”) to record his or her visual/audio images, including but not limited to: photographs, digital images, voices, sound or video recordings, audio clips, or accompanying written descriptions, and, without notifying such person, to use his or her name and such images for any purpose of APhA, including advertisements for APhA and its programs. 

Mobile App

The primary methods of providing comprehensive information about Annual Meeting activities will be via the APhA2022 mobile app and website.  If you require assistance downloading or navigating the app, there will be staff on-site to assist you.

International Travel

The U.S. Department of State is the official United States visa information source with information about visa requirements, U.S. embassy and consulate locations worldwide, and wait times for visa interview appointments/processing. Travelers are advised to apply for visas well in advance of intended travel dates. Although APhA may not provide official travel endorsement, a Letter of Invitation is available by emailing registration@aphanet.org
