Pharmacist Learning Objectives

At the completion of this application-based activity, participants will be able to: 

  1. State the current regulatory status of cannabis in the United States.
  2. Evaluate health system policies and procedures for cannabis use within the current legal landscape.
  3. Describe the clinical pharmacology of cannabis and its active components.
  4. Interpret the results of clinical studies of the effectiveness and safety of medical cannabis in children and adults with various medical conditions.
  5. Recommend pharmacist strategies to improve patient safety, identify and prevent potential drug interactions, and provide effective counseling for patients using cannabis.
