APhA2023 is scheduled as an in-person event taking place
March 24 - 27, 2023, in Phoenix, AZ.

All scheduled events and activities will be available for in-person attendees (except where a ticket may be required). There is currently no plan for an enduring virtual experience.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

APhA is cautiously returning to live meetings and events. This plan is subject to certain public health and safety rules and guidelines. Protocols will be updated as required and registrants will be notified. 

Vaccination Status

Vaccination is required to attend APhA2023 in Phoenix.
CDC current guidelines state, in general, people are considered up-to-date:

  • 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
  • 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine

Arrangements for Persons with Disabilities

Scooters and wheelchairs are available for rental. Reserve your equipment in advance to ensure your needs can be accommodated. If you have a disability for which you may require an auxiliary aid or special service, contact


Business casual attire is appropriate for sessions and events. You may wish to bring a sweater or light jacket to sessions. Check the weather forecast. Phoenix's average March temperatures are 77º daytime and 52º evening.


Please note that children under the age of 18 are not permitted in the education sessions or the Exposition (to include the Opening Reception in the Exposition). This includes children in strollers and carriers.

Nursing Pods

The Phoenix Convention Center offers two 4ft x 8ft private Mamava nursing pods for breastfeeding guests. The nursing pods are in the atrium of the West Building and the second level of the North Building. Guests can unlock the pods by downloading the free Mamava app or by visiting th‚Äče Information Desk and speaking with a Guest Experience Representative.

International Travel

The U.S. Department of State is the official United States visa information source with information about visa requirements, U.S. embassy and consulate locations worldwide, and wait times for visa interview appointments/processing. Travelers are advised to apply for visas well in advance of intended travel dates. Although APhA may not provide official travel endorsement, a Letter of Invitation is available by emailing

Photography and Filming

Any person who attends an APhA Annual Meeting event grants permission to APhA, its employees and agents (collectively “APhA”) to record his or her visual/audio images, including but not limited to: photographs, digital images, voices, sound or video recordings, audio clips, or accompanying written descriptions, and, without notifying such person, to use his or her name and such images for any purpose of APhA, including advertisements for APhA and its programs. 

Portions of APhA2023 may be recorded for web casting and other marketing/education purposes.  Unauthorized audiotaping and videotaping is prohibited.
