You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.” — Maya Angelou
This year’s APhA2023 keynotes will open hearts and share their experiences of addressing adversity, embracing opportunities, and rising to the challenge.
You won’t want to miss these impactful stories that will offer solutions on how pharmacists can positively shape the future of pharmacy.
Our APhA2023 keynote speaker is a shining example of someone who has fought through trials and tribulations to rise to the top. APhA is proud to announce that Inky Johnson will join us in Phoenix to kick off our opening general session on Saturday, March 25, at 9 am.
As a rising college football star in his junior year, Inky sustained a life-threatening, career-ending injury. From that day on, he has had a burning desire to use his situation and experiences to add value to people’s lives.
Our APhA2023 keynote panel will showcase pharmacists on the front line, sharing their experiences helping patients overcome adversity. APhA is thrilled to have this esteemed panel join us on Sunday, March 26, at 9 am for an important discussion on how pharmacy intervention can improve patient safety.
Fruits and vegetables, a safe place to lay their head, and a ride to work are things that many take for granted but are unattainable for some. As the most accessible healthcare provider, pharmacists have a unique opportunity to step in when patients face adversity and misfortune. When you attend this session, you will leave with tools and resources to incorporate into your day-to-day to help your patients rise and maybe even save their lives.
