Advanced Practice: New Skills for New Services


In this interactive presentation, pharmacists who have successfully implemented services in a variety of practice settings will share the skills needed to obtain organizational approval, implement services, and sustain success. Through real life case examples, presenters explore intrinsic and extrinsic factors that can affect practice advancement, discuss how to foster a collaborative and motivated mindset, and help attendees identify how to engage trainees to foster sustainable patient care services. 

Pharmacist Learning Objectives

At the completion of this application-based activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Recommend strategies for the identification and implementation of new patient care services at a practice.
  2. Discuss strategies to leverage relationships to maintain these new services.
  3. Identify key resources and baseline knowledge needed to succeed in these new initiatives.
  4. Review scenarios and provide recommendations on how to successfully advance pharmacy practice.
