Pharmacy Today, JAPhA, and Student Pharmacist are distributed at APhA2017. Pharmacy Today APhA2017 Annual Meeting Edition, the official APhA2017 publication, is distributed to meeting attendees.

Advertisers in Pharmacy Today (February issue) and Pharmacy Today APhA2017 Annual Meeting Edition are eligible for combo advertising discount rates. Achieve highly-targeted exposure at low page rates.

APhA Foundation

The APhA Foundation is the nonprofit philanthropy affiliated with the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and is leading health care change through innovative research, recognition, and leadership programs that demonstrate how pharmacists can improve patient care and health outcomes. Support opportunities begin at $2,500.

Women in Pharmacy Reception
Last year’s event was a huge success, so we’re bringing it back for a third year. Attendees enjoy refreshments while mingling with old and new pharmacy friends. Funds raised go towards honoring the pioneering women of the profession and advancing women’s and children’s patient care services. 

APhA Foundation Wine Tasting and Silent Auction  
This fundraising event supports the APhA Foundation. Attendees enjoy a fine selection of wine and food pairings, mingle and network with colleagues, and have the opportunity to bid on an array of unique auction items. 

APhA Foundation Annual Contributors' Breakfast
Each year we honor the generosity of our donors and volunteer leaders at the APhA Foundation Contributors’ Breakfast. In addition, the Foundation recognizes student scholarship recipients and presents the prestigious Jacob W. Miller Award. This event is by invitation only.

Executive Office

APhA Past Leadership Luncheon — $6,000
This luncheon provides a briefing on the "state of APhA" to former Association volunteer leaders.

3D Chalk Art — $30,000
Have some fun! Entertain attendees while promoting your company name and logo in a unique way! Capture everyone’s attention with a custom, one-of-a-kind creation. A team of 3D chalk artists creates a 16’x16’ drawing of an old-time pharmacy right in the Exposition Hall. This support opportunity is sure to stop attendees in their tracks! Supporter logo is incorporated into the drawing.

Final Program — $30,000
Single-support of the APhA2017 Final Program includes a 4-color ad on the back cover. The Final Program is distributed to all attendees and contains information for navigating APhA2017.

Wifi Buyout — $30,000
The Wifi provides coverage in all APhA meeting space at the Moscone Convention Center. Supporter logo is included on the splash page when attendees connect to the Internet. Supporter is also recognized throughout the event, including branded signage in APhA meeting areas. In addition, supporter is recognized on the APhA2017 Website and in the Final Program.

Presentation Theaters — $25,000 each
The Presentation Theaters provide a forum to present information on your company, specific products, practice topics and therapeutic areas by company-designated presenters. Headshot Café — Supported
The Headshot Café is located on Main Street in the Convention Center.  Attendees are required to visit the supporter’s booth to receive a voucher for their photo session. APhA coordinates all logistics of the Headshot Café including the presence of photographers and makeup artists, development of the voucher, and managing attendee traffic.

Opening Reception in the Exposition — $20,000
Your company is the center of attention as we kick off APhA2017 with the Opening Reception on the exhibit floor. Don't miss your opportunity to stand out from the crowd by supporting the signature networking event of APhA2017!

APhA General Support Package — $15,000
APhA's Support Package includes the following high profile events at APhA2017:

  • APhA2017 In Recognition of Excellence Awards Booklet — Widely distributed through print and electronic vehicles, this booklet offers excellent exposure. 
  • APhA Closing Reception — Held on the evening of the last day of APhA2017, this 2-hour reception offers food and entertainment to celebrate the closing of another great meeting! 

Hydration Stations — $15,000
Join APhA as we continue our initiative to go green by supporting water stations located in various sections of the Convention Center. All attendees receive a reusable water bottle at registration branded with the supporter logo along with the APhA2017 logo, and refill it multiple times a day at water stations branded with your company logo.

Relaxation Station — Supported
Attendees must visit supporter's booth to receive a ticket in order to receive their "complimentary" back massage. Support includes signage with the company name and booth number at the massage station and a promotional sign in supporter's booth. The massage station is located near registration and the exhibit hall entrance.

Lapel Pins — Supported
Another traffic builder! An ad in the APhA2017 Final Program and on the APhA2017 App directs attendees to supporter's booth to receive their 4-color APhA2017 lapel pin. Supporter's logo is printed on the pin card.

Website Banner — $12,000
The APhA website (www.aphameeting.org) is the primary marketing vehicle for APhA2017; with 285,000 page views in 2016, this sole-supporter advertising vehicle provides a tremendous opportunity for exposure. Recognition includes animated banner on the home page linked to supporter's website.

Pedometers — $10,000
Help attendees step up and get fit! For optimum health, guidelines recommend that adults walk 10,000 steps per day. Attendees can keep track of their steps while at APhA2017 using your custom-imprinted pedometer. Support opportunity includes floor decals throughout the meeting and your company logo on the pedometer (support does not include cost of pedometer).

Hotel Key Cards — $10,000
Put your company’s brand right into the hands of APhA2017 attendees staying at the Headquarter Hotel, the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. This is an exclusive opportunity.

Charging Stations —$10,000 each
Your company's video message is on a continuous loop at each charging station where attendees power-up their smart phones, laptops, and other wireless devices.

Registration Bags — Supported
Receive prominent company recognition with your logo and the APhA2017 logo imprinted on a high-quality registration bag. Registration bags are distributed to each meeting attendee and can be used throughout the year.

Aisle Signs — $10,000
As attendees walk through the Exposition, they will see your company’s logo showcased on each aisle sign. This is a great way to raise visibility and keep your brand in front of attendees throughout the meeting.

Poster Session Refreshment Break — $7,500
Encourage poster session viewing by supporting a refreshment break. Attendees can have a snack, utilizing supporter-provided napkins imprinted with logo if desired.

Entrance Door Clings — $5,000
Grab the attention of attendees the minute they arrive at the Moscone Convention Center. Prominently display your company's 4-color logo and booth number on the exterior doors of the Moscone Convention Center. Decals are approximately 24" x 12". Fee includes production and installation.

Exhibitor Suites — $4,000 for 10x10/$8,000 for 20x20
Arrange for exclusive meeting space in the Exhibit Hall with Exhibitor Suites — quiet, convenient meeting rooms to convene staff meetings or meet with prospective clients. Exhibitor Suites are available in various sizes and include carpet, table(s), chairs, wastebasket, cleaning fee, and plant.

Mobile Application Alerts — starting at $750 each
Reach attendees instantly with a mobile alert through the APhA2017 Mobile App (At APhA2016, 94% of the attendees downloaded the App). Send an alert to invite attendees to your booth to generate traffic, promote a booth giveaway, or product demo.

Postgraduate Pharmacy Education and Training Programming

  • Community-based Pharmacy Residency Program Directors and Preceptors Open Forum is designed to allow fellow program directors and preceptors to discuss the APhA/ASHP PGY1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency Accreditation Standard, the matching program, centralized application process, and other important community-based residency training opportunities and challenges. This program is conducted in collaboration with ASHP. Over 125 directors and preceptors attend this educational forum.
  • Community-based Pharmacy Residency Program Residents Open Forum allows for a venue where community-based pharmacy residents can share peer to peer experiences, discuss residency training opportunities and challenges, and network. Over 125 CPRP residents attend this educational forum.
  • Community-based Pharmacy Residency Networking Reception provides an opportunity to recognize the recipient of the APhA Community Pharmacy Residency Excellence in Precepting Award and for program directors, preceptors, and residents to network.

Joint NANP and APhA-APPM Nuclear Pharmacists Reception — Supported
This reception provides nuclear pharmacists an opportunity to share and recognize innovations in practice and to mentor student pharmacists considering a specialty in nuclear pharmacy practice.

APhA-APPM Nuclear Pharmacists’ Breakfast and SIG Business Meeting — Call for pricing
This breakfast provides attendees with information on educational programming, legislative and regulatory activities, practice-based issues impacting nuclear pharmacy practice, and an opportunity to network with fellow colleagues and leaders. The APhA-APPM William H. Briner Distinguished Achievement Award in Nuclear Pharmacy Practice is also presented during the meeting.

APhA-APPM and APhA-APRS Networking and Recognition Reception — $10,000
This reception recognizes incoming and outgoing Academy leaders for their service to APhA. Attendees have an opportunity to learn about more leadership opportunities and network with leaders and fellow colleagues. All APhA Annual Meeting attendees are welcome to attend.
