Closing Reception: Music City Here We Come!

Monday, March 27 • 5:00 pm–7:00 pm • Hilton, Continental Ballroom

We have spent a terrific few days together in gorgeous San Francisco, and now it’s time to turn our thoughts to when we will once again come together in one of today’s most popular U.S. destinations….Music City, Nashville, TN. The hottest singing and songwriting talent in the country flock here in the hopes of becoming famous, and we have one of the hottest Nashville bands to close out APhA2017.

With their T Bone Burnett-produced debut album, guitar-wielding duo Striking Matches creates an unexpected and unique sound that defies easy categorization. The music of Striking Matches—Sarah Zimmermann and Justin Davis–occupies that sweet spot at the intersection of country, rock and blues, where all of the elements blend to form an authentically raw and rootsy sound that has a timeless and international appeal. Get a preview of Striking Matches

In addition to the music, you may win some fantastic prizes including airlines tickets, APhA2018 registration, upgraded hotel accommodations in Nashville, and other great prizes.

Join your friends and colleagues in a sneak peak of what Nashville has in store for APhA2018, as we enjoy hors d’oeuvres, non-alcoholic beverages, and cash bars. Bring proper ID. Your badge is your entry ticket. Tickets may be purchased for unregistered guests via the registration process for $50 (tickets will not be available at the door). Dress is casual. Hats and boots are optional.

Friday, March 24 • 7:00 pm–9:00 pm • Convention Center, Exhibit Hall ABC

Join your colleagues for some Peace, Love and Pharmacy! 50 years ago during the summer of 1967, San Francisco and the rest of the world united behind one principle and one thought – LOVE! – and its affirmation of PEACE. The word was brought forth by musicians such as Peter Paul & Mary, Bob Dylan, and Jefferson Airplane and then carried on by many English musicians like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Travel back in time at APhA2017 to the “SUMMER OF LOVE” as we kick off our week together with a totally hip opportunity to network, be treated to hors d'oeuvres, enjoy some far out entertainment, and take a first look at the amazing offerings from our exhibitors. Be sure to get a first-hand look at 3-D artist, Sean Fitzpatrick’s work on a very unique and interactive painting he will create inside of the hall.

Your badge is your entry ticket. Tickets may be purchased for unregistered guests via the registration process for $50 (tickets will not be available at the door). Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and cash bars will be available; bring proper ID. Dress can be funky and groovy, or just casual. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted into the Exhibit Hall at any time, including children in carriers and strollers.  See you there, man!
