When and where is APhA2017?
APhA2017 will be held in San Francisco, California. The official dates are Friday, March 24–Monday, March 27, 2017. APhA Training Programs are scheduled for Thursday, March 23 and Friday, March 24. Check the Schedule at a Glance for up-to-date information.
Where is the meeting located?
The core Educational programming, General Sessions, APhA and APhA-ASP House of Delegates, and Exposition take place at the Moscone Convention Center. Meetings and networking events are held at both the Convention Center and Hilton San Francisco Union Square. Limited shuttle service is offered between the Convention Center and Hilton. Walking time is approximately 12-15 minutes.
How many people will be at the conference?
The APhA Annual Meeting and Exposition attracts nearly 6,000 attendees each year.
What is the dress code?
Attire is business casual. Feel free to be comfortable in slacks, polo shirts, sweaters, blazers, blouses, and most importantly, comfortable shoes. Is there wireless access for APhA2017 attendees?
Complimentary wireless access will be available throughout the Convention Center.
Will there be family activities?
The Spouse/Guest registration fee of $245 is for non-pharmacist guests who wish to attend the Exposition, Opening Reception, and Closing Event. Continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credits are not awarded to spouse/guest registrants. For assistance with area attractions, tours, or childcare, contact your hotel concierge.
How can I schedule an event?
Organizations must request an event through APhA. Space available for miscellaneous meetings will be split between the Convention Center and Hilton San Francisco Union Square. Download the Affiliate Scheduling Form or contact Todd McDonald for availability.
How do I register?
Registration for APhA is open. Early bird rates for best pricing end Feburary 1.

How do nonmembers register?
Nonmembers should register at the full 4-day nonmember rate, and as a bonus will receive one year of APhA membership! Your membership will be activated on April 15, 2017. As such, nonmember rates will apply for APhA Training Programs and Additional Offerings at APhA2017.
NOTE: If you would like to receive the reduced member rate for APhA2017 and obtain discounts on APhA Training Programs and Additional Offerings, activate your APhA membership first and then register at the appropriate member rate. Please allow one week for membership processing prior to registering.
What is included in my registration fee?
A full conference registration includes all educational sessions (with the exception of APhA Training Programs and Additional Offerings), Exhibit Hall activities, Opening Reception on Friday, and Closing Reception on Monday.
Can I add other items to my registration at a later date?
Yes, you can log into your pharmacist.com profile to register for Additional Education Training and Additional Offerings.
Can I attend only the APhA Training and not the entire Annual Meeting?
Registration for the APhA Training Programs is open. These courses have an additional fee and do NOT require Annual Meeting registration to participate.
Do I have to register for individual sessions/are sessions ticketed?
You do not need to pre-register for educational sessions during the conference as seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, the APhA Training Programs and Additional Offerings do require separate registration.
What is "premium" registration?
The Premium Package includes registration, Meeting Highlights Video on Demand, and access to live and online continuing education. The Video on Demand offers select APhA2017 education sessions that are video recorded for home study credit.
Is there a guest registration rate and who is it for?
The spouse/guest registration rate of $245 is for non-pharmacist spouses or guests who wish to visit the Exposition, and attend the Opening Reception and Closing Event. Continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credits are NOT awarded to spouse/guest registrants.
Can I register for a one-day conference pass?
Yes, the one-day registration will enable you to participate in education and other events occurring on that day.
How will I know if I'm registered?
All attendees receive a confirmation by email. This confirmation is your receipt and verifies your address, contact information, additional offerings, and amount paid. For questions regarding registration or membership, contact the APhA InfoCenter at 800-237-2742 (APhA).
What if I need to cancel my registration?
All registration cancellations must be in writing to the APhA InfoCenter. Cancellations received by February 24 are refunded less a $100 administrative fee. No refunds are allowed for cancellations received after February 24. Ticketed event fees are non-refundable except when an event is cancelled by APhA.
Are there any meals included with the conference registration fee?
Meals are not provided during the conference. There will be light appetizers served during the Opening Reception and Closing Event.
When can I make my hotel reservation?
Hotel reservations are now being accepted. The deadline for guaranteed rates is February 23.
What is the headquarter hotel?
The headquarter hotel is the Hilton San Francisco Union Square.
Will there be shuttle service?
APhA2017 hotels are within walking distance. Walking time is approximately 12-15 minutes. Limited shuttle service is provided between the Hilton San Francisco Union Square and the Convention Center.
Are there discounted student pharmacist rooms?
There are no special discounts or separate blocks for student pharmacists.
What is the maximum number of continuing pharmacy education credits I can receive at APhA2017?
APhA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education (CPE). Will I be able to access the program on my mobile device?

How can I present a session?
The Contributed Papers program deadline was October 5.
