Contributed Papers Program

The APhA Call for Abstracts for the 2017 Annual Meeting & Exposition is now closed. The deadline for submissions was Wednesday, October 5. Authors were notified by e-mail in December of the status of their submissions.

Please visit our website this summer to submit an abstract for APhA2018 in Nashville, TN; March 18-21, 2018. The deadline for abstracts is October 3, 2017.

Poster Schedule

  • Display:
    • Saturday, March 25, 9:00 am-6:00 pm
    • Sunday, March 26, 9:00 am-3:00 pm 
  • Presentation:
    • Saturday, March 25, 12:30 pm-2:30 pm. This is the Meet the Researchers session — all presenters must be at their posters.

Poster Setup/Removal

  • Set-up: Friday, March 24, 9:00 am-6:00 pm, Moscone Convention Center, Exhibit Hall ABC. Be sure to utilize the poster board with your Final ID#, which was sent in January. This is different from your Submission ID#.
  • Removal: Sunday, March 26, 3:00 pm-6:00 pm 

Poster Requirements

Poster size is 45" by 90". Push pins are provided. 

Financial disclosures must be displayed on your poster. APhA adheres to all requirements of the ACPE Standards for Commercial Support in order to ensure all presentations, including poster presentations, provide fair and balanced pharmacy education. You must disclose any relevant financial relationships with any commercial interest on your poster.

Podium Presentations

Fifteen abstracts submitted under the APhA-APRS ESAS category were selected to present for Contributed Papers Podium Sessions I and II during the Day of Science on Friday, March 24. Podium presentations are scheduled in 20-minute intervals, with 15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions. Podium presenters are required to prepare a slide presentation in advance.

Three posters were selected for talks in the APhA-APRS ESAS Innovative Research in Pharmacy Practice session. 

Registration

All poster and podium presenters must be paid registrants. Click here for registration information. Unregistered presenters at APhA2017 are considered withdrawn and will not be published. 

Journal of the American Pharmacists Association

Accepted abstracts are e-published in the May/June Journal of the American Pharmacists Association (JAPhA). Abstracts submitted as Encore Presentations are not published in their entirety; for these, only the abstract title, authors, and original citation are published in JAPhA.
