Federal Pharmacy Forum: Federal Pharmacy 2018: Senior Leaders' Perspective

Description

The Chief Pharmacy Consultants (or their designees) from the Defense Health Agency, U.S. Public Health Service, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of the Navy, Department of the Army, and U.S. Coast Guard will provide an overview of current issues of interest to federal pharmacist and pharmacy technicians. Topics will include pharmacy’s role in public health, delivering medication therapy management, optimizing pharmaceutical clinical and economic outcomes, and changes in organization operations.

Pharmacist Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the linkage of AF pharmacy operations to National Security Strategy and Air Force Medical Service Objectives.
  2. Describe the role of USPHS Commissioned Corps pharmacists in the 2017 U.S. hurricane response.
  3. Describe how VA Pharmacy supports the Secretary’s top 5 priorities.
  4. Describe the Defense Health Agency Pharmacy Operations Updates and Transitions.
  5. Describe the application of population health tools to enhance delivery of outpatient care.

 

Technician Learning Objectives
