APhA Select Poster Artist
For the past 13 years, APhA has worked with renowned artist Patrick Reid O'Brien to create unique artwork depicting the Annual Meeting destination, designed exclusively for APhA Select Attendees.
Patrick knew he wanted to be a painter at age 6 as he grew up in Baltimore, studying original watercolors of T.U. Walter, architect of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC. Walter is also Patrick's great great great great grandfather. Art was always calling Patrick and he graduated with honors and a degree in Fine Art from Saint Mary's College of Maryland.
After 15 years in advertising, working for clients such as Pepsi and CBS Radio, Patrick focused his talents on creating fabulous art that touches your soul. He uses classical academic composition, sophisticated color theory, a mastery of typography, and state of the art painting and graphic design tools.
Patrick's lifestyle art has caught the attention of Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, The Kentucky Derby, The White House, and APhA, all of whom commissioned him to create exclusive collections of art. He's been featured in Southern Living, The LA Times, Dan's Papers, Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, and Chesapeake Home, to name a few. There are now close to 3000 pieces of art in this collection. It is personal. It is love.
